s2 Research Stream Two The second of four research threads is a series of qualitative interviews designed to add depth to our understanding of Stream One’s longitudinal workers survey. Interviews focused on groups and issues of theoretical and policy interest. Due to COVID-19, most interviews were conducted remotely over telephone or video call. The interviews investigated: how workers affected by the closures navigated the labour market in a changed economic landscape; how workers experienced the process of retrenchment following the closure announcements; and, how workers experienced change in work culture in their post-retrenchment workplaces.
