Team Ilke Onur IO Ilke Onur is a Senior Lecturer of Economics in the School of Commerce, at the UniSA Business School. He is also an active member of the Centre for Applied Finance and Economics (CAFE) and an academic editor of an international multi-disciplinary journal, PLOS ONE. Ilke earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. His general field of research is applied microeconomics with special focus on industrial organisation, auctions, health and development economics, economics of information systems and electronic commerce. Ilke was awarded the ‘Best paper by a junior author’ award for his publication in the Review of Industrial Organization, given by the Industrial Organization Society in the United States. He also had multiple successful grant applications, including a grant from the Australian Centre for Financial Studies, one from the Scientific and Technological Council of Turkey, another one from the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) and more recently an ARC-linkage grant. He has also been part of a tender for the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office to audit the performance of the allocation of electronic gaming machine entitlements in Victoria. More recently, he was a visiting researcher at University of Southern Denmark and University of Tübingen, Germany. He has also served as an external reviewer for the grants program for the Global Development Network and as an external reviewer for the research grants program of the Scientific and Technological Council of Turkey.
